Feed us!

In the weekends mum and dad often forget that we are supposed to get our breakfast everyday at 06:30.

When Runa was still here she jumped up in the bed and woke both mum and dad at 06:00 to get them to get them up and give us our morning ration of pellets. Sometimes she was lifted out of the bed again, but she never gave up until dad was awake and gave us pellets. And then she woke them at again at 09:00, to make sure that they didn't loose the whole day (and sometimes to play in the bed afterwards).

I don't like to jump up in the bed as it's a bit to tall for me (but I did jump up and wake mum everyday when we lived alone, to get her to feed me and for our daily morning cuddelig sessions), and since Frigg has problems with her eyesight she prefers to have her feet on the ground. So now Frigg and me have to use other methods to wake them up: I'm staring and asking them for food until they wake up, while Frigg starts digging and chewing on the blanket. But she usually does that after they have turned on the light anyway, while I sit staring at them even when the light is turned of. It takes a while, but we get our food in the end.

"Get out of bed and feed us! We are starving here!"

We will always remember you ❤

Exactly two weeks ago (14.09.2013) Runa left us...
She had been struggling with what we thought was E. cuniculi since monday and during the night to Sunday she was gone...

We really miss our little girl and sister that was everywhere at once.

She woke us up every morning at 6:00 even though it was weekends, and demanded breakfast for her and her siblings. And often we would find her sleeping in the foot-end of the bed together with us at night. She would also demand pellets every evening at 20:00 and often before, just in case we would forget to look at the watch.

She always knew what she wanted, and hated to be waked up during her beauty sleep during the day, one time dad was especially noisy listening to an audiobook she ran out from her favorite spot under the sofa, tossed the phone on the floor and started to dig on her dad to demand silence.

Aristoteles also miss Runa a lot, and was also allowed to say goodbye sunday morning. The following day of Runa's passing he looked everywhere for her, even places he usually would not dare to go. Runa has been a big part in his life and made him much braver and more sure of himself. And since Runa became a part of our family he's almost never been sick.

She loved to play with her dad on the floor; jumping up on his back while he crawled on the floor, so she could enjoy a ride. She also enjoyed to tear up the sofa, carpets and cardboard boxes even tough it sometimes frustrated her mum and dad, and now we own a exclusive sofa designed by Runa.

The house feels extremely empty now that Runa has left us, and we will never forget our little girl that gave us so much happiness and wonderful memories. You will always live in our hearts until the day we meet again.

We love you our little girl and little sister, and will never forget you!

Thank you for everything!

Big brother Aristoteles

When daddy came home yesterday Runa was feeling really bad. I watched over her and she was lying by my side. Then mum and dad noticed that her head was really tilted and that she didn't n want food. Mum at once expected this to be the parasite E. cuniculi so we went right to the vet (our regular vet didn't have time to us so we had to drive the car really far this time).

When we came to the vet I was really afraid and thought they was going to look on me. Frigg was brave as usual, but Runa was really afraid and pretended she was feeling well.

The vet came to the same conclusion as mummy, and since it's a really dangerous parasite for rabbits we're all on antiparasitic medication now. Runa also have to take antibiotics and have her teeth fixed.

Today Runa still don't want to eat that much so daddy had to feed her with Critical Care this morning.

We're going to our regular vet today and hopefully we also will get some painkillers since she grinds her teeth sometimes. We all also have to take blood samples to check for E. cuniculi.

Right now we're all really afraid.

The picture is of me guarding Runa while she eats some Critical Care by herself some minutes ago. I also wanted some after she was finished, but stupid mum took it away..

Some peace

Finally Runa is sleeping. Then I can spend some time with Aristoteles. He is a great rabbit.

Guard bunnies

Usually Runa sleeps under the sofa during the day, while I sleep in the bedroom.

But today both Runa and I are guarding our sick daddy (formerly known as A) that's sleeping in the bedroom. We also sleep a little but wake up and check on daddy every time he makes a sound.

Bonding: Aristoteles and Runa :3

We picked Runa up from the breeder (Myosotis) today, and tried to bond her with Aristoteles, and as you can see it was a success.

Aristoteles still thinks Runa is a little bit scary though, while Runa just wants Aristoteles' attention.

They are so cute together ^_^

PS! I will update the blog with more pictures and a little log from the bonding session tomorrow (or in a couple of days) :)

NOTE! Do not attempt to bond two rabbits without reading about it first!

Vacation

Right now I'm on vacation. We arrived yesterday after a long train trip. But this time is wasn’t that scary. First our part of the train was full of Japanese tourists, and when they saw me they all said: "Nawww!" because they thought I was so cute ^^ Then after a while we got half of the train for our selves. It was kind of cool!

Today I'm just relaxing in my room here at grandpa's. But this time it smells kind of weird here. Mum say that a little puppy lives here now, whatever that is (after what I understand it's a small version of Rammbo (grandma's dog).

Mum is also kind of excited these days. She and A tells me that I'm going to get a little sister on Sunday. But I kind of don't understand, what is a little sister? Does it mean that I'm going to get another arachnid sibling?

Aristoteles is playing with willow toys from The Busy Bunny

No more cage!

Some weeks ago mum threw away my cage. So now this is my new hay station:

I really like it now, but in the beginning I hated it since I used to rest in my cage during the day when mum was away. But now I just rest under the table or in the shelf :3

My package from Busy Bunny has arrived!

Today mum disappeared for a while and then came home with these:

They as well as to boxes with Papaya Fruit Plus from Oxbow are ordered from Busy Bunny's hop shop. And I really like them!

Unfortunately mum has hidden all the things (including the basket!) except from one willow ... She says that I will get them after I've finished this one, but I think she just want to play with them herself.

Anyway; here's a video of me chewing, tossing and playing with my new toy ^^:

The scary janitor is here...

There's an intruder in my apartment! What to do, what to do!

I think I will just hide under the desk until he finds out that he doesn’t belong here...
